SUMMARY:Bed Race to End Childhood Homelessness
DESCRIPTION:We are excited that you are interested in "competing" in the 2nd Annual Family Promise of Escambia Bed Race! Our "Bed Race to End Childhood Homelessness" last March was a HUGE success. This year is sure to bring even greater participation\, which means we will raise more money for our mission! We hope you will race with us again\, or for the first time! We hope you will challenge your friends! If they don't want to race\, encourage them to come cheer you on and join the fun! You can expect food trucks and activities for the kids. Our goal is to raise $50\,000 this year. Our goal is greater because the need is greater. With more than 3\,000 kids in Escambia County sleeping on couches\, vehicles or in a motel\, experiencing homelessness struggling with poor performance in school\, higher rates of mental health challenges\, and higher rates of abuse and neglect. Unfortunately\, the number of children and families in our area continues to grow. APRIL 18TH IS THE DAY! A team of 4 is only $150\, and don't forget- you don't have to build a bed. You can race OURS!
